Dual role of web designer and marketing co-ordinator for PicNet. Marketing duties included company rebranding and implementation of online strategy (including SEO, Adwords and workshops with management) - with the key purpose to raise the profile of the company, increase leads and traffic.
Being the sole designer in the company required a self starter attitude and ability to work independently while reporting to management. I've been involved in all projects that require design, my primary task to improve the user experience of websites, e-newsletters, products and internal applications and improve brand image through marketing collateral. I also worked on external client projects, contributing to every step in the process from pitching to project planning, designing, building, testing and deployment.
Projects included HTML websites, Wordpress as a CMS and UI/UX design for web applications I'm comfortable liasing with developers in a Visual Studio Environment. I also have experience with the spark view engine. I'm proficient in both GIT and SVN version control systems.
Travelex wanted an eye catching currency converter widget that would compete with other popular conversion websites such as XE.com. I did a number of design mockups (the one you see here being my personal favourite), HTML and CSS (including IE7 support) - Using @font-face for SEO purposes and spritesheets to reduce image loads. This project was completed as an employee for PicNet.
Mouse Eye Tracking is a online usability tool that helps you understand user behaviour by tracking mouse data such as tracking, clicks, hover and page-to-page movement.
In charge of all creative tasks, primarily HTML, CSS and UI design in a Visual Studio Environment using SparkView Engine. This project involved close collaboration with the software development manager and included conceptualising a widget overlay panel for the user to easily access various features. I also designed the brand identity, created email newsletters (design, HTML and CSS), video production and promotional material such as expo booth designs, flyers and designed the logo.
This project won the 2010 NSW innovation iAward from the AIIA and went on to win the Merit Award at the national level. The homepage design is also featured on designshack.co.uk.
Reckitt Benckiser wanted an Australian Product Ingredients Information Website based on their North American Counterpart. With a tight timeframe I took the design and refreshed it with a more modern look, while still keeping the site simple, within brand guidelines, on time and on budget.
The site was designed to work in Safari, Firefox, Chrome and IE 7 - 9.
A primary goal in the rebranding of East West Capital was to establish a sense of trust and professionalism. Deliverables included a simple one page microsite, business cards and letterheads.
During my time at Reckon Limited, I worked on the Australian versions of the popular QuickBooks software. I did splash screen designs for the 2008/09 suite, icons and print design including stationery, business cards, letterheads, brand guidelines and flyers.
