Founded in 2002, PicNet has been a leading provider of IT services and solutions to Australian businesses. PicNet helps organisations use technology to increase productivity, reduce costs, minimise risks and grow strategically. I worked at PicNet as a web designer and marketing assistant from 2009 to 2013.
As a marketing co-ordinator, I worked with management to help develop a new brand identity that would refresh the company and usher in the next phase of growth. This involved strategy meetings, researching competitors, understanding their client base and unique selling proposition. We worked together to simplify the company message, focusing on benefits, not features - while aligning it with ICT industry research to ensure it remains relevant to their clients for the foreseeable future. I balanced a fresh, clean style with corporate, professional, business sensibilities.
I implemented the brand online, designing, building and managing their website, email newsletters and email signatures. I was involved in all aspects of design for their web application Mouse Eye Tracking. In addition I completed external work for clients such as Travelex, Reckitt Benckiser Novartis Pharmaceutical, Travelex Australia and DMS Maritime.
In parallel with rebranding the company, I was involved in marketing the company, from organising events to seach engine optimisation to drive more traffic and generate leads.
Traffic was generated through a mix of blogging, EDM Newsletters, SEO and AdWords (gaining 1st page search results for key search terms) and leads converted by improving page design, user flow, copy text and overall user experience.
